RETAIL CASHIER (Clayton Country Market) Part-Time

Job Description The schedule for the Clayton Country Market Cashier could be 1st or 2nd shift with potential for nights and weekends Job Purpose or Objective(s):
You will have the primary responsibility to obtain payment for goods by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customer's purchases, count money or change, and balances cash register with transactions You will report to the Clayton Country Market GM Primary Tasks:
You will insure all purchases are properly rang into the cash register and accurately recorded.
Checks identification when required by transaction.
You will enter charges for all items, subtract value of discounts, coupons, accept payment of cash, personal check, credit and debit cards.
You will perform general as well as specific merchandising duties including pricing and stocking, bagging ice and placing in the merchandiser, maintaining order in the cooler and stockroom, replenishing supplies in the deli area, and stocking cigarette racks as applicable.
You will perform general as well as specific housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, stripping, waxing and cleaning both interior and exterior of the store as needed.
You will insure that all money is properly accounted for.
You will maintain a high level of customer service while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise.
You will monitor stock levels of displays and maintain a full and neat appearance and make sure all tags are properly in place and in good condition.
You will protect all store inventory and equipment from theft and damage.
You will report all violations of rules and regulations to the proper authority.
Required Education, Skills and
Experience:
MINIMUM Must be 18 years of age or older.
Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions or conversions).
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services Ability to accept coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others Ability to be on feet 6
