Chargemaster Analyst Revenue Management TEMP

Job DescriptionTemporary Job Purpose or Objective(s):
The Chargemaster Analyst is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of the Charge Description Master (CDM) within the Choctaw Nation Health System.
As a part of the Revenue Management department, you will collaborate with other teams to provide an organized CDM maintenance process, resulting in clean and compliant claims.
You will report to the Chief Analytics Officer.
Primary Tasks:
1.
You will maintain the Charge Description Master (CDM) and ensure services rendered are reported and reimbursed while maintain compliance with regulations, payer policies, and coding guidelines.
2.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payor denials, coding and billing edits, address delays or reductions and facilitate accurate coding and billing outcomes.
3.
Facilitate the Chargemaster Committee group.
4.
Monitor federal, state, and commercial payer bulletins to identify updates and communicate applicable changes to affected teams.
5.
Perform research on regulatory guidelines and payer policies to address compliance, coding, and billing inquiries related to the CDM.
6.
Perform maintenance on the CDM including add new charge codes, inactivate charge codes no longer used, update description(s), CPT/HCPCS, revenue code, modifier, and price.
7.
Establish accurate mapping and data flow from subsystems to the CDM to ensure services rendered are reported and reimbursed.
8.
Implement process improvement strategies to improve workflow, automate, and increase technologies used as part of the CDM maintenance process.
9.
Help with validating annual pricing updates to the CDM to ensure accuracy and improve reimbursement within the health system requirements as recommended by the Chargemaster Committee group.
10.
Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and
Experience:
MINIMUM oBachelor's degree in related field oKnowledge of official coding regulations and DRG assignment oKnowledge of transaction codes, ICD-10, CPT, and E&M level of coding guidelines oFive 5 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue management Recommended Skills Automation Billing Business Process Improvement Chargemaster Claim Processing Data Analysis Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
