The Position Job Title Deposit Operations Specialist I - Wires Job Description SUMMARYThe position is responsible for processing and balancing incoming and outgoing wires (Domestic and Foreign).
A Wire Operator I must be able to perform all the duties related to this task.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcesses incoming and outgoing wires - foreign and domestic.
Complete call backs to customers as part of fraud prevention including RFA items.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIESCompletes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
Dresses Professionally.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Work ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required.
One or two years of banking experience preferred.
Strong high school level mathematical skillsFamiliarity with foreign exchange concepts, major currencies and geography preferred.
Experience in wire transfer application processing such as the FedWire FedLine Wire Transfer System preferredTechnical/Functional CompetenciesExcellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel required.
Operational knowledge of general office equipmentExcellent customer service skills required by all means of communication including written, verbal and nonverbal communication.
Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills:
able to work well with a wide range of people.
Handles situations professionally and welcomes additional responsibilities.
Learn how to set goals, prioritize and manage time to complete assigned tasksWillingness to learn and ask questions about job responsibilities and objectivesNOTE:
